Weekend wishlist

This weekend I have lots of plans. It's the last weekend before my semester starts - so the last weekend when I can do anything and I don't have to worry about tests and exams. I wanna use it well.

My plans are:
- going to the hairdresser (it's been ages, and I deserve it)
- organizing the mess on my desk (I need a fresh space to keep new ideas coming and to study)
- making some pudding (double layered: chocolate and strawberry)
- creating some new things with beadweaving
- building a snowman :)
- celebrating my Etsyversary

I hope I'll have some time for all of these, especially the snowman! :) Oh and the picture is last days result, it wasn't easy-peasy, but I'll make another in different colors, coz it's so so pretty and shiny! Happy weekend to everyone! :) Check out Minna's blog to find other ideas for the weekend.

In the mail today

I got this GORGEOUS necklace in the mail today. I won it at a blog game among Hungarian craft-bloggers and I was lucky. The necklace is more stunning in person, but the weather is so terrible today, I can't take a better pic. Thanks so so much Orsi! :-)

My creative space!

Yay, the creative space series is back! I've wanted to show my new idea of packaging and recycling so now is the perfect opportunity. You know that I love art, and one of my favorites is Gustav Klimt. I even traveled to Vienna to see "The Kiss" itself. And I had a calendar several years ago that had severeal famous pictures from Klimt in it. The calendar was expired a long time ago, and I didn't have the heart to throw it away. And then it suddenly hit me: I should reuse those beautiful pictures and throw away the non-useful part. And so I did. I made pillow boxes to send my earrings and hairpins in it. They're so beautiful and colorful, and I would love to get a package like this.

Can you recognize them?? :-) Here's some help to get to know Klimt's work.
Show your creative space too, if you want to play along visit kootooyoo's blog!

Flickr Favorites - Soft pink

I think I have these color phases. One day I'm in love with turquoise, the next day it's all about lime, and the following day it's purple. Today it's soft pink. I'm not quite a girly girl, but I'm a romantic person, therefore I love the color pink. Especially this soft, almost beige, heartwarming pink.

A játékért külön köszönet Babrának!

My first...

Okay so I'm last minute but still in time! The actual EST challenge will end today, and I really wanted to participate this time. And yay, I made it! :-) The reason I was so very excited about this challenge is not only that it's hosted by the lovely Renate aka Kreativlink but the theme, it's just perfect. Now I have to quote her as her description is so perfect:

'I want to really challenge you this time to - make something you never did before!
I want you to come out of your comfort zone and experiment. Try something new! Something you never really did before!

You are a painter? Then knit something! A jeweler - try painting! A bookbinder - crochet something. Whatever you usually do - do something else! Grab some paper and make a card. Buy a pack of Fimo and make a little sculpture. Try jewelry if you never did that. Make origami. A mosaic maybe? Have you ever tried sewing? Made a plushie? Done embroidery?

If that’s too hard, stay with your craft, but try something new there. Say you always sew childrens clothing - sew something you never did so far. It should really be new for you. Be brave! :)'

So as I am brave and have tons on things on my 'to try' list I can now scratch off one thing: bead embroidery. I always wanted to try and now this was the perfect opportunity to do it for real.
Okay no more blabla, here it is! In blue of course, and shiny O_O

I call it the Eye as it really looks like an eye :)

And me wearing it, so very '20s style. (sorry for blurry pic, it's an impossible light now...)
I'm actually quite proud of my first embroidery, and it's surely not the last piece I made. Oh and the center stone: I got it while we were in Regensburg, and I accidentally found a beadshop. Just couldn't resist that shiny blue :)
The other entries are at Renate's blog, make sure to check them out, it's always a pleasure to see others flourishing!

Flickr Favorites - Home Decor

Did you know that I love interior design too? Actually who doesn't? A nicely furnished home always makes me feel like I have butterflies in my belly, and nice pictures also makes me shiver of joy. I recently found this Flickr group, I think it's amazingly beautiful, and I just feel like favoriting every other picture in the pool. Crazy! So visit them, but prepare that you'll spend hours and hours just looking!

Flickr Favorites - Read!

1. who needs a book self, 2. A room without books is like a body without a soul. (Explore), 3. Philosophy II, 4. And that's me, enslaved by the books

One of my new years resolutions is to read more books. I'm terrible at reading. I mean, sometimes I don't read a single page for moths and then I read 1-2 books in 1-2 days. Pretty hectic. I'm always reading a little before falling asleep: even though the book isn't boring, reading gives me a nice relaxed mood, perfect for the night. But these books are always something light, like Harry Potter or chicklit. What I mean by this resolution is that I read more meaningful books, classic ones that I skipped in secondary school, or simply just good, quality books. I hope I can achieve this goal.

Monday Moodboard - New year, new start!

More mosaics at Greet's blog.
I just realized that I haven't posted anything yet in 2010. So here it is now :)

I was taking a little break from all the holiday traveling and visiting these past few days, and now I'm back in business. I had a great today: had lunch with my best friend and then I went supply shopping searching for new beads for new designs. I did a great job, and found some amazing pieces, you'll see them soon in my shop.
New Years Eve was quiet for us: we stayed home and did a Star Wars marathon (shame on us, we only watched A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back in the evening then fell asleep at 12.30 AM and watched The Return of the Jedi in the morning) and drank kids champagne. This New Year madness is really not my thing and from our home we couldn't even see a decent firework.
Somehow I believe that odd years like 2009 are worse than even years, so I hope more from 2010, and have many plans and dreams to make true both creatively and personally. I'm wishing all of my dear readers a wonderful year and come on, let's start it! :)

Vienna trip

Now I think it's a tradition that in December we go to Vienna to the Christmas fair and for some of the legendary punch. This year it took place a few weeks ago, and it was the perfect timing as the weather was chilly but perfect and we had a wonderful time (I was too busy to blog about it then so I'm doing it now :)). After three trips to Vienna I feel like I'm getting to know the city more and more. Maybe next year I'll navigate even without a map :) The streets were beautifully lit this year and we even did some shopping. We had the usual punch, this time a Christmas punch which was very tasty and it put us in a very good mood! We missed only one thing of our tradition: Sacher cake, but oh don't worry next year we'll have that too :)

After Christmas

We just arrived home from our Christmas trip, we visited all of our families in two days with my sweetheart. The best was that we were together all the time, and I really enjoyed meeting some members of his family for the first time. I got many nice presents, and as Xmas is very close to my birthday, the pile is even bigger. :) We're all stuffed with delicious foods and cakes, I can barely move. Now it's time for a little rest and next week I'll be making some creative ideas come true. Fortunately no cooking is needed :D And I also got another present: now more than 500 people call my shop their favorite, it's quite a milestone for me and I'm really happy about this fact. Thanks for all your support and for making 2009 really great for me :)

Neglected again

I'm so sorry to all my loyal readers, you haven't heard about me for quite some time again. First I had some school stuff to finish and then the Christmas fever that caught me. I got my ever first spectacles, finally I can see everything that's going on in the world. I'm enjoying my creativity and bravery in the kitchen nowadays. I made some punch for a little pre-Christmas gathering with friends, and it was very tasty we drank all of it. Today I made some gingerbread cookies to give as gifts, they turned out well although my hands hurt like they've never had before. I made some new jewelry too, but as they're going to be gifts I don't want to reveal them yet :) And the celebration will start soon (for me it starts early every year) and I'll tell you everything about it tomorrow so stay tuned!

Secret Santa is here!

Today the postwoman knocked on my door and gave me a big envelope from Italy. I knew right away that it's my secret Santa, and I knew who she was! It's Evelyn from Sumikoshop who makes the sweetest jewelry of lovely little things (you can follow her blog here, it's always full of lovely things). I got very excited and wanted to tear up everything to look look look and try on, but calmed myself a little and grabbed my camera to take a picture of this stunning gift box. So pretty packaging, I really adore the paper lace on it. And such a sweet Christmas card, people seem to don't send them anymore, but I like getting cards always :) So after the photo I could open the box and so many sweet things came out of it:

A lovely set of hair pins, the biggest one is amazingly beautiful, and I like the others too with the elegant blacky and the natural linen buttons.

A cute pair of flower studs in pink, very tiny and girly. They will be worn a lot, as I'm a fan of studs!

And last but not least a gorgeous red rose ring for my ring collection! So pretty and passionate!
All the things are so Carmen-esque with their flaming colors and lovely designs. Thanks a lot Evelyn, I'm very happy with my Secret Santa gifts! :) And of course our lovely organizer should be thanked. It could not be easy to pair up everyone. Thanks a lot Mitsy for your work (ah what work, I know you enjoyed it :D)

Monday Moodboard

I love that feeling when you wake up from a crazy dream that doesn't make sense at all, but still it was so exciting like a movie of your imaginary life and you can't stop thinking about the impressions and feelings you had meanwhile, but as time goes you have a hard time to remember the details that were so clear when you woke up, and finally it all start to slip away and you just remember that you had a great dream but you're not sure what was it all about. Yeah, I love this all, in fact I usually have very vivid dreams and I often remember them well when I woke up. So for today I was going for the blurry dreamy European mood, I think I caught it!

A new bunch of the filigree rings arrived and I immediately glued some of my newest glass cabochons on them. They look so magical and dazzling, I love all the colors. I hope they will be as successful as my previous rings of this kind. Soon all will be available in my shop!
